The Hammondsville Tavern will be a local social space that serves affordable, casual, portable and familiar pub style food as well as great drinks. Think of a local English pub with an American twist. A great place to see friends and neighbors as well as grab food and/or a drink if you so desire.

The food will be served in recyclable containers counter style and available on our app as well as digital ordering stations.  There will be plenty of space inside and out to grab a seat and enjoy the food and drinks or you can order To-Go and those orders will include lids for clean transport.  

As we gain traction and the burden of Covid eases, we plan to have darts, horse shoes, and maybe a pool table. We expect to have live local music on a regular basis with everything from local bands and musicians to even karaoke.  We hope to have local gatherings for things like family movie nights and maybe even a full blown Thanksgiving dinner for the extended family of Reading.

We will have EC Fiber wicked fast internet with a community access wifi system to allow for folks to use as needed. We even plan to have the building open during morning hours for folks who don’t have strong connections at home to come and have a place to do work or school online.

The first recordings of a tavern in Hammondsville go back to the late 1700’s our hope is to rekindle this tradition and have a slightly modern twist on what we imagine the tavern was like all those years ago.
